The program, in this case for a vacation home, on the one hand should serve the needs of the family that owns it but also has to be sufficiently attractive to enable the rental to all types of users. It is thus proposed to have the day areas such as living room, dining area, kitchen directly related, and on the other hand, to have 4 bedrooms, all equipped with bathroom, and a “master suite”, focused on the heads of family, which allows them to maintain a certain privacy from the rest of the occupants.
Thus, the house is divided into three volumes (three levels) that are arranged according to the natural slope of the terrain.
The access to the house is slightly lowered with respect to the height of the public road, so that this space is semi-buried, but, given the excellent location, with excellent views of the sea. The retaining walls that organize the access allow for a free horizontal plane, in which, on the one hand, the continuity of the slope of the terrain allows the generation of a lower volume between it and the natural terrain and, on the other hand, the arrangement of an elevated volume on this same plane, allows the generation of a covered space that will house the most public areas of the house and that will be glazed practically around its entire perimeter, directly related to the terrace that occurs on the lower level, which will be used for the bedrooms. The upper volume, elevated above the rest, and enjoying the best visuals, will be destined to the “master suite” that occupies the entire floor, and where the different uses in it, according to their privacy, are graduated depending on the distance to the staircase.
The pool, like the rest of the volumes that make up the house, adapts to the terrain, being embedded in it.
