Chapel House, Almansa

The plot where the house is built had very small dimensions in proportion to the program required by the property, so the house is developed in 5 floors distributed in basement, ground floor, first floor, first floor, second floor and under cover. Also, the site is located in an area where the building typology changes within the same block, where the maximum height allowed is reduced by one floor, which leads us to make a building that serves as an articulation between the two building typologies, thus solving the visible party walls generated by the change of typology.

The facade of the building is conceived as a living element where sliding panels are used as vertical slats where the user can configure them, depending on the time, depending on the needs of sunlight and privacy and that together with an arrangement of the holes in a staggered pattern makes it have a changing appearance throughout the day.
