The house located in a residential development on the outskirts of Almansa has a privileged setting with direct views of the castle located on the Cerro del Águila.
The simplicity of the program proposed by the developers compared to the maximum built volume allowed by the urban planning regulations helps us to configure a proposal that, unlike those solutions that are the result of the strict application of the regulations on the plot, allows us to offer a solution with greater spatial freedom and treatment.
The house is configured, in its access facade, oriented to the northeast, by two vertical planes that fold horizontally generating the volume where the living spaces will be located. These vertical planes allow to solve the dividing walls with the adjoining houses as well as the recessing of one of them in the main facade allows the creation of a terrace on the second floor that allows to receive the morning sun and from which you can glimpse the castle. On the rear façade, facing southwest, these planes come together to generate a volume on the second floor that overhangs the first floor, creating a porch area. The treatment of the enclosures of the rear facade are glazed from floor to ceiling allowing the noble areas have a direct relationship with the landscape and views of the castle enhancing the contact between inside and outside. These enclosures are set back from the facade plane towards the interior of the house allowing adequate protection from solar radiation, studying in detail the proportion they should have to avoid direct solar incidence in summer and allow its passage in the cold months. These solutions, together with an adequate use of the facilities (aerothermal with underfloor heating, hot and cold, and support of photovoltaic panels on the roof) allow us to obtain an energetically optimal house, without distortions with the final image intended.

Inside the house the program is resolved around the space formed by the staircase and the double height.
On the first floor, in a square shape, the main rooms of the house are planned, where in the rear area and directly linked to the access we place the kitchen and the living room in a single space where floor to ceiling sliding windows allow its connection with the rear terrace and the pool. In the front area is the garage and the main rest area with its annexes.
On the second floor, in an L-shape, a central wooden body that houses the toilet and storage areas serves to organize the distribution around it, where, linked to the double height, we locate an open space that houses a living room for reading linked to the views of the rear facade, and an office, the latter also linked to the terrace that overlooks the access facade. On the other side of the central body are the bedrooms in a more private position.
